About
The person behind the work.
I build reliable products, scalable systems, and teams that enjoy solving meaningful problems together.
Hello 👋
I'm Milad Ezzat, an engineering leader and software engineer based in Cairo, Egypt. I enjoy turning complex problems into reliable, useful products and helping teams do their best work.
My background is rooted in backend engineering, but I like working across the full product journey: understanding the problem, shaping the architecture, supporting delivery, and learning from how people use what we build.
What I Do
I work mainly with Node.js, TypeScript, APIs, databases, distributed systems, and cloud platforms. Over the years, that work has grown from writing application code into leading engineering decisions, improving delivery practices, mentoring developers, and connecting technical choices to product goals.
The principles I come back to are simple:
- Build for clarity before cleverness.
- Treat reliability and security as product features.
- Give people context, trust, and room to grow.
- Keep learning, sharing, and improving the system around the code.
Products and Platforms
I've contributed to products across real estate, creative AI, financial technology, team productivity, and developer infrastructure. Some were customer-facing applications; others were the platforms, services, and tools that helped teams build and operate them.
I care about the whole path from an early idea to a product running in production: architecture, developer experience, cloud infrastructure, observability, and the small decisions that make software easier to maintain.
Open Source and Sharing
Open source gives me space to explore problems and share useful building blocks. My projects include SafeCache, encrypt-rsa, system-monitoring, and hybrid-id-generator.
I also write about engineering, architecture, databases, cloud infrastructure, and lessons learned while building software. Teaching and mentoring are important to me because explaining an idea clearly is one of the best ways to understand it better.
Beyond Engineering
Outside work, I value time with family, reading, thoughtful conversations, side projects, and the occasional quiet coffee. Staying curious beyond the immediate task helps me return to engineering with better perspective.
Let's Connect
I'm always happy to meet people who care about useful products, thoughtful engineering, open source, or growing healthy technical teams. You can find me on GitHub, connect on LinkedIn, or simply send me an email.
